Dan Hnatio Curriculum Vitae

Biography

My career started through an academic path. From there I opened up shop as a person providing technical services (engineering), lighting, and shooting and program directing. Over the past 15 years, I have produced and shot a wide variety of broadcast and industrial projects. I have continued to develop my field skills, and continued to provide services for a wide variety of clientele. I have worked for most of the fortune 500 companies as well as US broadcast agencies like ABC News, PBS, and CNN. I have also worked extensively for foreign television agencies.

I have a solid background in field production, lighting, and sound acquisition. Although my background is based in the Arts, I am also an accomplished practitioner in field engineering and multi-camera acquisition.

In acting as a producer/director/DP for broadcast and industrial projects, I have acquired and exercised substantial skills in the creation of programs that communicate effectively through quality field acquisition. I am experienced in working effectively with all levels of industry staff.

I have managed a video production group from 1982 through today. This activity has enabled me to profoundly widen my horizons with regard to all phases of the communications business, production issues, and leadership processes.
